ASRC Aerospace Scientists Recognized for Advanced Lunar Concept Designs

Greenbelt, Maryland, January 12, 2005 - As part of their weekly technology segment, SPACE.com, recognized ASRC Aerospace Corporation for its innovative work performed on lunar shielding concepts. John Lane, an applications scientist at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) and Charles Buhler, the lead researcher, are spearheading a team which is focused on developing concepts and designs for an electrostatic radiation shield that would protect astronauts from potentially fatal radiation on the lunar surface.
