Greenbelt, MD, March 1, 2004 – ASRC Aerospace Corporation has been awarded the NASA Group Achievement Award recognizing their work in re-engineering NASA’s Scientific and Technical Information (STI) database.

Richard Ambrose, chairman and chief executive officer, said he is proud of the collaboration and innovative techniques the nine-member team, lead by Elizabeth Buffum, used to provide improved service to their customers. He said, “we expect to be constantly improving our products for our customers and it is appreciated when that effort is recognized with such an honor.”

The re-engineered database makes it possible for NASA users not only to access information more quickly but to enjoy a higher level of system reliability.

The NASA STI database is a bibliographic database of NASA and other aerospace information with approximately 3.3 million records. The collection includes STI content from 12 NASA centers and from over 50 countries worldwide, making it the largest collection of aerospace scientific and technical information in existence.
