ASRC Aerospace Wins $51 Million Research and Development Support Services Contract at NASA Ames Research Center

Greenbelt, MD, October 16, 2003 – ASRC Aerospace Corporation has won a $51 million contract from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to provide critical research and development services to a variety of engineering design and hardware development programs and projects at the agency's Ames Research Center (ARC) in Moffett Field, California.

ASRC Aerospace, an Alaska Native Corporation headquartered in Greenbelt, Maryland, is the sole contractor supporting the contract. ASRC Aerospace will provide cost-effective solutions to the Research and Development Directorate and its numerous customers throughout NASA Ames.

Under terms of the contract, services provided by ASRC Aerospace include project management, systems engineering, electrical and mechanical design and development, fabrication, integration, test and evaluation, and operations.

Full contract responsibility began October 1, 2003, and will continue through September 30, 2008. The five-year period of performance for the ARC contract consists of a two-year base period followed by three one-year options.

ASRC Aerospace is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Arctic Slope Regional Corporation and is dedicated to providing comprehensive professional, technical, and engineering services. The Arctic Slope Regional Corporation is an Alaska Native Corporation owned by more than 9,500 Inupiat Eskimos primarily located along Alaska's North Slope.
